SP3 Live Steam stationary engine dates from around 1979 era, this was the last incarnation of the well known MEC1 that was known for having the yellow Meccano style base, the SP3 differs from having a whistle instead of the little steam dome, silver base, sight glass and solid fuel burner.
This one recently steamed and ran ok, safety valve and whistle unscrew and tighten as they should do, however it has rusting to chrome cowl and firebox sides, so ideal to steam as is or give it make over during the winter months, comes with solid fuel burner tray.
